Roz Savage: Why I’m rowing across the Pacific

Roz Savage is a great advocate for the oceans. Five years ago, Roz Savage quit her high-powered London job to become an ocean rower. She’s crossed the Atlantic solo, and just started the third leg of a Pacific solo row, the first for a woman. Why does she do it? Hear her reasons, both deeply personal and urgently activist.

    Wow. What she did was amazing. I was so impressed with the courage she had mustered to go on her journey. And I’m really glad that more and more people are doing their share to forge an affinity with the oceans of the world, and find time from their busy lives to save marine life.
